Brand Name & Meaning

VERDÁNT

From Latin "viridis" meaning lush, green, fresh, and clean

The name Verdánt captures the essence of our produce: vibrant, nutrient-dense, and bursting with life. It evokes images of thriving plant life and abundant harvests, perfectly representing our ability to create optimal growing conditions and improve food production. In other words, "The future of food starts here."

Tagline
The future of food starts here.
The Promise
Produce that maintains its verdant qualities 2 to 3 times longer than conventional alternatives, delivering exceptional flavor and nutritional value.

Design Inspiration and Pronunciation

The logo was conceived in conjunction with our innovative indoor farming ecosystem, known as Closed-loop Indoor Precision Agriculture. Every element reflects the sophisticated yet natural processes that occur within our controlled growing environments, where technology and biology work in perfect harmony.

Áá

VERDÁNT is pronounced "ver-DAHNT". The Á is pronounced AH, like the "a" in "father" or the "o" in "font".

Accent Mark Usage

  • Required Á in: logo, headers, and branded materials. VERDÁNT with a green Á.
  • Optional in: paragraph and body copy. In running text, write Verdánt in uniform Deep Teal; the accent is optional in body text.
See Brand Name Usage for the full rule set on when to use VERDÁNT versus Verdánt.

CIPA

Application Guidelines

Logo Usage

  • The circular icon can stand alone when brand recognition is established
  • Always maintain proper spacing around the logo
  • Works effectively in both horizontal and stacked configurations

Color Combinations

  • Primary: Deep Teal Blue with Vibrant Lime Green accents, effective when displayed as a gradient
  • Secondary: Golden Yellow with Warm Brown for earth-connected messaging
  • Never use more than three colors in a single application (unless it is a gradient pattern)
  • White backgrounds allow colors to achieve maximum vibrancy

Logo Clear Space & Placement

How much room the logo needs from edges and from other content, on paper, in print, and on screen.

X Logo with clear space X

X = the height of the circle icon. Keep at least one X of empty space on every side of the logo, at any size, in any format.

Minimum size
Print: horizontal logo no smaller than 1.5 in wide; icon alone no smaller than 0.5 in.
Digital: horizontal logo no smaller than 180 px wide; icon alone no smaller than 40 px.
Distance from the edge
Print: at least 0.5 in from the trim edge, never inside the bleed or safe-zone margin.
Digital: at least 1X from the canvas edge, and never less than 24 px on web and social.
Distance from other content
Keep at least 1X between the logo and any text, photo, partner logo, or graphic. On photography, place the logo only on a clean, low-detail area, or on a solid white or Deep Teal panel. Scale the logo, never crop, stretch, or rotate it.

Placement

Print

Letterhead, brochures, cards, signage: top-left, aligned to the text margin. Back covers, footers, and ads: bottom-right, or centered. One logo per page or panel.

Digital

Website, email, presentations: top-left in headers; icon alone when the header is under 768 px wide. Title slides, splash screens, and video end cards: centered.

Social avatars

Icon only, centered, filling no more than 80 percent of the frame so nothing clips on a circular crop. Same file for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
