Our Story

Who Are We?

A team of operators, growers, and seasoned executives proving that extraordinary organic produce doesn’t have to be rare, seasonal, or out of reach.

All About Us

What Sets Us Apart

Verdánt AgriTech, operating as Verdánt Organics, is redefining what’s possible in indoor precision farming. Founded by seasoned leaders in controlled environment agriculture, clean-room operations, and aquaculture, the company brings decades of experience to the future of sustainable food production.

We believe extraordinary organic produce shouldn’t be rare, seasonal, or prohibitively expensive. It should be consistent, accessible, and grown with integrity. That belief is what Verdánt was built to prove, and it’s the standard we hold ourselves to in everything we grow.

Our Mission

To reliably deliver the highest-quality, affordable organic produce, by integrating precision indoor growing technologies and by honoring every commitment we make to the people who depend on us.

Core Values

  • Foster Trust and Respect
  • Satisfy Our Customers
  • Innovate and Improve Continuously
Built in Minnesota

Putting down roots in Mankato.

Verdánt’s first facility is being built in Mankato, Minnesota, a purpose-built home for precision indoor agriculture and the people who’ll run it. This isn’t a farm in the traditional sense. It’s a new kind of growing operation, and we’re building it in partnership with the local community, regional trades, and area institutions who share our belief in a better food system.

We’ll be sharing more as construction progresses, the milestones, the people, and the story of what it takes to bring something like this to life close to home.

The Innovators

The People Behind the Cultivation

Verdánt is led by people who have spent their careers building and running complex, growing operations, and who got tired of watching the food system settle for less than it could be.

The CIPA system: Closed-loop, Indoor, Precision, Agriculture

Closed-Loop. By Design.

At the heart of Verdánt is our proprietary system, Closed-Loop Indoor Precision Agriculture, or CIPA™, where mushrooms and microgreens are grown together in a single, efficient, symbiotic process. Each crop supports the other, minimizing inputs and reducing waste, all without the use of chemicals.

The result is recipe-ready, never-washed organic produce with 3× the shelf life of anything else on the market, grown year-round, with a fraction of the water conventional farming requires.

How it works is ours to protect. What it delivers, we’re glad to show you.

A Founder’s Journey

Howard Rogers’ Story

From aquaponics pioneer to sustainable agriculture innovator, Howard Rogers has spent decades transforming how we grow food.

His journey began by solving waste-management challenges in aquaculture, evolved through large-scale mushroom production, and led to the insight at the core of everything Verdánt does today.
